I am a silversmith living in Kimball Junction. I work with recycled sterling silver and copper as well as beautiful and unique stones. My main techniques include metalsmithing, fold forming, air chasing, electroforming and occasionally PMC. I am currently in the Downtown Farmers Market at Pioneer Park every Saturday and I have also been a vendor at Craft Lake City.
I started making jewelry a little over four years ago. I started wire wrapping in college just as a fun hobby, selling occasionally to friends and family. I had a jewelry Instagram account where I could post pictures of my work and through there discovered really interesting silversmith jewelry. I made that a long term goal to take a silversmithing class. That long term goal turned into a short term goal as a few months later I wound up taking a silversmithing class at B Golden Jewelry School in Sugarhouse. That ignited my love for metalsmithing and I haven't gone a day without thinking about it since. I took a six month jewelry business certification program at the same school and learned the ins and outs of starting a jewelry business, officially got my business license, as well as learned many different jewelry techniques. I now have a small corner of studio space in my apartment where I make all of my pieces. My ultimate goal through joining this group is to become integrated in the art community of Park City.
