The Park City Professional Artists’ Association (PCPAA) is an alliance for the promotion of local art within the Park City community.
Artists create a visual voice for our modern society and culture, as individually, they each experience the joy of their creative process. It is this joyful attitude that motivated 6 local artists to start the Park City Professional Artists’ Association (PCPAA) in 1981.
PCPAA artists create beautiful art, enjoy each others’ company, and have thrived in our mountain town for over 30 years. The group sponsors social gatherings, fund raising events to support art scholarships, volunteer efforts for local non-profit groups and professional development seminars. Members collaborate on exhibition opportunities and art shows .
Our group is a social networking club that runs on membership dues. We rely on the support of and networking relationships with outside non-profit groups for many of the benefits we enjoy.
Supporting our local community has always been important to PCPAA members. Our involvement and volunteer commitment is especially strong at the annual Park City Kimball Art Festival. This Arts and Craft marketplace, organized by the famed Kimball Art Center, has attracted up to 50,000 art lovers to our beautiful town on the first weekend in August. Each year, many PCPAA members apply through a competitive and highly selective jury process and are accepted into the Park City Kimball Art Festival
All organizations have a “personality,” and PCPAA’s is one of relaxed giving and volunteerism. Members pitch in when required but are sensitive to each other’s hectic work schedules. PCPAA provides a kind and nurturing environment supportive of both professional and novice artists . Members are especially inviting and encouraging towards emerging artists who join looking for information and mentors.
The Park City Professional Artists’ Association is a true Park City treasure.
